I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but hear me out.
Every few weeks, I purchase two large ranch dressings from this Wingstop because my kids and I love their ranch and use it for vegetables at home. Historically, I paid around $11 for two large ranches and received them in large foam containers.
Recently, they've occasionally been "out" of the large containers. In those situations, they've substituted multiple small cups instead. What makes no sense is that the number of small cups has never been consistent. Sometimes I've received 5 cups for one large ranch, other times 6 cups.
Tonight, my daughter picked up my order of two large ranches. When she got home, there were 8 small cups total. Assuming they were out of the large containers again, I called to ask about it.
The employee who answered was pleasant, but had to repeatedly put me on hold to speak with the GM. According to the GM, they "never" give out ranch in the large foam containers. That's simply not true because I personally received two large foam containers just two weeks ago.
The conversation became even more confusing when the GM stated that if I pay for a large ranch, I will only receive 4 small cups. So now a "large" ranch apparently equals 4 small cups, despite previous orders being fulfilled with 5 or 6 small cups when the large containers weren't available.
The issue isn't that they were out of containers. The issue is the complete lack of consistency and the inability to provide a clear answer about what constitutes a "large" ranch. If customers are paying for a specific size, there should be a standard amount every single time—not 4 cups one day, 5 the next, 6 another day, and then being told the larger containers never existed when customers have literally received them before.
The ranch may be great, but the customer service and consistency are not.
