I went to pay the phone bill at Cricket on HWY 19 and I was asked for my Driver License, but I had just witness a guy get his phone services transferred from AT&T to Cricket without showing his Driver License, he only gave his name and email to get his phone services transferred. I was told that everytime a person pays a bill or get any phone services they have to provide their Driver License, well the man before me didn't provide his Driver License. Corporate please tell me why your employee require certain current customers to show their Driver License, but not a new customer whose transferring their phone services from AT&T to Cricket. Corporate review the camera please to see the wrong your employee done, requiring certain customers to show their Driver License not all like the rule states.
The people in the front were nothing short of amazing, the district manager Alex however another story 🥴 my sim stopped working out of no where, they put 3 different Sims in and it still said data wasn't available. The phone itself is fairly new, they said all they can suggest is that i upgrade, I left, called my husband, came back & asked if they could call customer service because something is obviously wrong and there's no reason to upgrade a new phone. The woman working the front waited until someone answered and they notified her the whole stack of SIM cards she was pulling from were bad. She goes to tell Alex the DM and he very loudly says "I'll make her pay for both of them!" I'll gladly pay for something that works but why would I pay for a SIM the company said was bad?
I said "before I pay for anything it'll be working when I leave this store, and if not I'll be canceling all 3 lines on the account" when the DM left he said "remember $30 for the SIMS cards laughed and walked out the door" she got it partially working but calling still would not work I told her it's fine it might come back with time I'm ready to pay and leave she said it's $0 that's weird considering when I came in first it was $10 then, I needed and upgrade, now it's $30 for 2 and then 0$. To top it off this all took from 12 -2 something. Immature. Should not be a manager. Probably should hire someone to manage the manager 🥴
I've been going there for years for service. I went back recently and I had a new cricket brand phone I bought from Walmart and the woman in there refused to transfer my card over so I could use the new phone. She said she didn't do that for phones bought from Walmart. I leave and go to another location about 3 miles away and they happily change my phone for me. The last few times I've been have been similar so I will never go back and I recommend you go to the other Palatka store.
