I was so excited to have a delicious crispy chicken sandwich after working the hell that is Mother’s Day in the service industry.
If you know anything about that then you know there are no breaks, there is no eating and it’s all hands on deck from open to close.
All I could think about was wing stop.
We placed an online order. Our first sign that something was wrong was that we wanted to modify an item on the menu and tried to call, but even though the restaurant was open for another 30 minutes…the phone was already off. No big deal.
But then my boyfriend went to go pick up our food and specifically asked the man if everything was there and he said yes. Now, I’ve already told my boyfriend that he should’ve also check the bag that was our mistake.
But lo and behold he gets back and there are no chicken sandwiches. Heart broken.
My boyfriend tried to get back but by 15 minutes after close. The building was completely empty. We tried to call, we tried the contact support but there is no link. And now it’s 1:30 am on Mother’s Day and even though I had to work a 12 hour shift as a mother, I couldn’t even have the simple pleasure of a chicken sandwich.
Edit: Paris the manager is absolutely great. Gave her a call in the morning to explain what happened and not only was my money returned but she was super accommodating, apologetic, and most of all, kind. 10/10 way to handle customer service.
