Every time I come into this store specifically, I have rude customer service with the SAME cashier. The first time I went here, was nearly a month ago… I was greeted by a young African American, gentleman who had an Alfro hair style. I don’t exactly know his name, I wish I did for this review but I do not know exactly who he is. Anyways, as he greeted us; I had told him my issue. I said I needed my brake pads replaced due to a defective item. He simply said, I needed the other brake pad (understandable) in order for me to do that. I explained my mechanic only gave me one, to which he said that they were scamming me, etc which they kinda were so I went to another mechanic later on in this story but that is NOT what I’m upset about with this gentleman. My husband wanted his personal opinion as an advanced employee, showed him the brake pads and asked “do you think these brake pads are bad?” And the gentleman said “they are crumbling and creating dust on my counter… they are shit, what do you think?” To me (as I work for another advanced), that was very unprofessional to say to a customer. I do agree that they were indeed, shit… but the “professionalism” in that tone of voice and attitude was NOT there. He seemed hostile too, and act as if he didn’t wanna do his job nor be there. He then blows the brake dust off the counter, and it gets onto my husband and acts like he is some guy who is better than everyone else… to put it into words, a snob. So since I can’t do anything about the brake pads then, I decided to try again a month later (today) at a different, more trust worthy mechanic. It was the same man from last time. He said he can’t exchange them because it is against policy as they’re from wear and tear (or uneven wear apparently?) and I explained to him they were defective due to the fact I driven less than 10,000 miles with those brake pads BRAND NEW mind you for less than a few months so that it must be the brake pads themselves… He said that was incorrect with a smart tone and that it was improper installation from the mechanic. I start getting annoyed at this point as I myself am a employee for another store and know that was a load of bull as the policy states that there is a lifetime warranty on brake pads. I tried to explain to him but he made it seem like I was trying to scam him for new brake pads on old brake pads that I’ve driven for over a year when that was NOT the case! So I ended up leaving that store and going to a different advance, telling them the same issues I was having to the other gentleman… guess what they did? They did NOT ask me any questions and quickly helped me out without making it an issue. They exchanged my brake pads and even told me themselves that it is a lifetime warranty. I’m beyond upset with the man at the Mulberry Advance location because he was rude, unprofessional, and had a demeanor of seemingly not wanting to be at his workplace. I get it, work sucks at times but DONT take it out on the customers! Please do better by firing this man or retraining him because that is bad business for this company. I only ever see him on the weekends as when I pickup at this advance for work, I don’t see him there.
