I had a very disappointing experience at this Subway location due to the conduct of the manager on duty, Deshaunna.
I ordered a Five Italian sandwich and made a simple, reasonable request to have the meat spread out evenly, as I don’t eat the bread and eat the contents separately. Instead of accommodating the request, I was immediately met with a dismissive and confrontational attitude. I was told that if I wanted it done that way, I could make the sandwich myself.
When I reiterated my request, she refused to handle the order properly and instead passed it off to another individual who did not appear to be trained to prepare sandwiches. Before my order was even resolved, she began helping the next customer in line. When I attempted to explain my request again, she told me, “I don’t have to help you.”
This behavior is unacceptable for any employee, but especially for someone in a management role. Refusing a straightforward customization, redirecting the order to untrained staff, and dismissing a customer mid-order reflects a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service standards.
Subway promotes “sandwiches made your way,” but that standard was clearly not upheld here. Leadership at this location needs immediate attention, because this kind of conduct drives customers away.
