⭐️ 1/5 — Proceed with caution at this Wingstop location on 62nd & 7th Avenue.
I stopped going to this particular Wingstop nearly 10 years ago because of poor experiences, and unfortunately, today reminded me exactly why.
I placed an order, drove home, and almost immediately realized they had given me the WRONG items, including food I cannot eat. I called the store right away and explained exactly what happened. I even offered to send them pictures of the food AND my receipt as proof because I am not looking for anything free and have absolutely no reason to lie about missing or incorrect food.
Instead of trying to reasonably resolve THEIR mistake, I was told I needed to get back in my car, use my gas, leave the comfort of my home after JUST arriving, and bring the food back to the restaurant so they could verify they gave me the wrong order.
When I asked what they were going to do to compensate me for my time, gas, and inconvenience caused by their mistake, the response was basically that they would look at the food and replace what was missing. That was it.
And no, it is not unusual or unreasonable for a restaurant to offer a customer some type of courtesy item, discount, replacement, or other small gesture when the restaurant is clearly at fault and the customer has to make an additional trip because of that mistake. I was not asking for anything extravagant or trying to get free food. I was asking what they planned to do as a courtesy for the inconvenience THEY created by making me drive all the way back after I had already gotten home.
The employee supposedly said he put my corn back into the bag. Clearly, he did not put it into MY bag, because it wasn’t there. I even asked if there was a number, WhatsApp, social media page, email, or ANYWHERE I could send photographic proof instead of wasting another trip. Apparently, that wasn’t good enough.
What made the experience even worse was being told they had NO ranch or blue cheese and could only offer honey mustard only for me to overhear them later offering another customer BLUE CHEESE over the phone. Make that make sense.
Poor customer service. Poor problem resolution. Poor communication. And the food quality was not impressive enough to justify any of this aggravation.
If you order from this location, CHECK YOUR ENTIRE ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Ask them to open or undo the bag so you can personally verify every item, sauce, side, and flavor before driving away.
I should not have to spend additional gas, time, and energy correcting a mistake that the restaurant made especially when I offered immediate photographic proof and a receipt. In the pic are both orders and the cheese fries is not what I ordered and the corn is missing 🤯😏🥸 I will contact corporate office as well.
After almost 10 years away from this location, they unfortunately reminded me why I stopped supporting it in the first place.
