I had a very disappointing experience at the Subway near Gate H10 in Miami International Airport. After placing my order, I was not given a receipt—I had to ask for it. Once I got back to my gate and checked it, I noticed I had been charged a $9 tip that I did not approve.
I immediately returned to the restaurant to address the issue. When I asked for a refund of the unauthorized tip, the cashier who took my order acted dismissive, threw her hands up, and said she didn’t know what happened. That response was unhelpful and unprofessional, especially considering the charge should never have been added without my consent.
Customers should not have to double-check for unauthorized charges, and employees should take accountability when issues like this happen. I would recommend others review their receipts carefully if they choose to order from this location.
