THE MOVIE USHER

• This is regarding my experience with the associate Shyenne I at the Advance Auto Parts, store #9225 in the city of Fort Myers, Florida.
• I ordered an item online for store pickup on Memorial Day at 5:30 am.
• I placed the order through Advance Auto Parts because its competitor, AutoZone, did not have the item in stock.
• I had decided to pick up the item at 7:40 am and did not realize that the item was not in the queue for pick up.
• When I arrived, three associates were present: a white male with a ponytail (the manager on duty), another white male associate who was sitting in a chair, and a white female with blue hair identified on the receipt as Shyenne.
• None of these three individuals greeted me when I entered the store.
• The demeanor felt like they did not want to work today on a holiday.
• I responded with good morning with the male associate sitting on the chair.
• I had told him I had arrived to pick up an item I placed online.
• Shyenne replied, “The item is not ready for pickup, it is not in the pickup queue, and you have not received an email saying the order is ready.” She checked the order on her computer, retrieved the item, and then rolled her eyes at me.
• She returned with the item I had ordered online. I asked for her name, but she did not respond. The white male associate who was seated answered with his own name instead.
• She printed two receipts and asked me to sign one of them. I asked again for her name, but she ignored me. I told her she was unprofessional, and she walked away.
• The male associate with the ponytail, whom I believe was the manager on duty, responded, “Is there a problem? Can I help you?”
• I replied, “ I am a customer and I believe she was very unprofessional with me regarding my order”.
• He responded by justifying her actions with “what was the item in question?”.
• I simply replied to disregard my statement, and I simply walked out of the store.
• I am a 58-year-old Hispanic male and have worked in retail management since I was 22.
• Because of the actions of Shyenne, the retail industry is hiring the wrong people.
• Hiring the wrong people deviates the message that the company is sending to its customers.
• Shyenne is a good example of bad customer service, damaging a brand of good reputation like advance auto parts.
• Because of Shyenne I will never do business again with Advance Auto Parts.
