  Last two times I need to have a battery check that I bought at Advance Auto Parts I have the strangest interactions that really just lead to the feeling of poor customer service from the company. When my Jeep batteries getting weak I call and say can you check my battery and the person on the other end says no our battery tester is out for service or we're waiting on parts, something to that effect. I called back a week or so later and get somebody who says "Yeah that's not actually a thing. Maybe they didn't know how to use it or something but our tester works just fine and has worked fine. So I go in and get it checked and replaced. Now it's my wife's car. I call and ask do you have a functioning battery tester and is someone there that can help me test my battery? Dude says "Yeah". I say I'll be there in a few minutes. I get up there and due to the counter says "We only have one person on so I can't help you." I say was it you that I just spoke to you on the phone and he says "No, that was my other guy and he had to go on a call." Will all I can say is it would have helped if that person had either made a comment about somebody telling him you're going to be there in a minute, or at least hanging out a few minutes before you go on this super urgent call in case that guy does show up. And the problem isn't with the people behind the counter. The problem is Advance Auto Parts not paying enough to get people that know anything about automobiles let alone enough to actually care about customer service.
