I had a package shipped to this FedEx location while staying in town for work. My company changed hotels last minute, and my attempt to redirect the package didn’t go through, so I came here with the delivery photo since this was the original address. I quickly explained the situation but was immediately met with hostility and repeatedly told in a raised voice, “that picture is not here,” without anyone checking the system. I’m pretty quiet and non-confrontational, so the interaction felt unnecessarily intimidating. There was no line or other customers, just me and the one staff member, which made the reaction feel even more out of place. After insisting they look it up, and surpriseeee, my package was there. I’d seen the $10 handling fee mentioned in reviews, so I quietly paid it for the privilege of being snapped at.
The staff did apologize for the miscommunication as I was leaving, but the bigger issue was the tone and handling of the situation. Overall, something that could’ve taken seconds with a quick system check turned into my worst experience while visiting DC.
