I am writing to report a deeply disturbing incident involving my elderly uncle at a Cricket Wireless store last week. He inquired with the manager, Jeremy, about the insurance coverage on his phone, which he had purchased with insurance included.
Jeremy informed him there was no coverage, and when my uncle expressed confusion and asked for clarification, Jeremy responded in an aggressively hostile manner. This escalated into Jeremy shouting profanities ot my uncle and yelling at the top of his lun. inside the store. My uncle then left the premises, but Jeremy followed him outside, issuing explicit sexual threats, ( Smd ) and stating he would "fight and hurt" him, and removing his lanyard as if preparing for physical violence. The situation was only de-escalated when an employee from a neighboring business overheard the commotion and intervened to restrain Jeremy.
Without this third-party intervention, the outcome could have been catastrophic, potentially resulting in physical harm to a vulnerable senior citizen.
This represents an alarming breach of professional conduct and a serious safety risk, particularly from a manager. Threatening and intimidating elderly customers is unacceptable and dangerous. After more than 20 years as a loyal Cricket customer, I will be terminating my service immediately.
Jeremy should be terminated without delay to prevent further incidents.
