Sadistic behavior has been clearly displayed from Steven ( not sure if that’s his real name but that’s what he provided to.) Something needs to be done I have filed a formal complaint with corporate and I would encourage others to do so leaving the Google reviews is definitely helpful but it seems like there’s a pattern of repeated negative behavior. No one should be penalized for asking simple questions.Calling or referring to a customer as DUMB is deplorable. I only know this because when I came back in the store to get their names to corporate I walked into hearing something so dumb it was in audible what was said before that but I knew it wasn’t relation to me because Stephen looked like he saw a ghost when he walked in I know that it was in relation to me because I had just walked out of the store not even one minute ago. At the FedEx customer over the last 15 years I know the drill when it comes to their processes overall. Today July 2 I was at the Whitney Avenue location to retrieve a package that I opted to hold for pick up. I typically like to do so just because it does give me additional piece of mind where I live we do have a package room unfortunately sometimes the drivers aren’t able to enter the building if no one is in the front office or if the delivery code fails. With I decide I arrived at the location around four thirtyish p.m. I provided my license which does have my previous address listed. I already know the drill when it comes to providing proof of address if requested. Upon giving my ID Ariana allegedly because again I don’t know if she gave me a fake name goes to retrieve the package and then scan it and then I tell her that I will provide my lease and the reason why I stated that is because that is what I’ve done the last several times I’ve come to this location. In the background “Steven” begins to fire of verbal shots stating that the workers that are doing that are not supposed to. Saying that the lease is private. & a bill isn’t? The point is is that there was an opportunity before she even went to get the package to let me know just letting you know I’m gonna need some additional proof of address because your license doesn’t match the package that is completely fine it’s all about how you are articulate things about proper communication a simple less than 30 second sentence would’ve saw most of this also that is why. I’ve always done this process when it presents because it just gives me comfort to pick up my items and know that I have them with me versus having a package stolen or a package delayed in delivery because of a failed attempt. There’s nothing wrong with having a policy it’s about how you release that information it still baffles me as to why Stephen was in the corner delegating when I was only having an interaction with Ariana at the counter it only takes one person to address a customer . He was instigating and escalating the a simple situation. It would’ve been so much simple to say while I understand previous workers have accepted this proof for your address we are not able to accept it for the following reason through the privacy I can accept however the following documentation simple fix right there even one upon walking in when I asked their names the person stated Ariana she quickly mentioned that she didn’t work for this particular store

Despite being a smaller location, it was well stocked and very reasonably priced. The staff was courteous and patient, especially Steven (Stephen).

Other employees are fine but this one plus-size brown guy with glasses at the front desk is ridiculously rude and disrespectful. Seems to have some emotion control issues and gets triggered by a few simple questions and double checking. Funny that he told me he could refuse service if I keep "pushing"? Hmm, excuse you? You get paid to answer basic inquiries to say the least. And guess what? I went to USPS on Elm after and they only charged 1/3 of what FedEx was asking for. (Not that they are nicer - check reviews on Google - but hey, at least it's cheap.) So you better "refuse service", as if I would ever want it!
