If you are considering doing business with this office, I would encourage you to be aware of the customer service experience we had before making your decision.
I am not someone who typically complains or writes reviews, but after more than 30 years with Allstate, I feel compelled to share our experience with this particular office.
Our family has been with Allstate for over 30 years, dating back to when my father-in-law, Frank Sisneros, originally wrote our policies. Over the years, we were with Lenny Valdez, and after his retirement, with Sandy Reinsch and Cass. Every one of those experiences was positive. We were treated with respect, our questions were answered, and we always felt like valued customers.
Unfortunately, our experience with Chris’ office has been completely different.
In particular, our interactions with Sarah, the office manager, have been consistently disappointing. On multiple occasions, I found her communication to be unnecessarily disrespectful and condescending. Rather than feeling like a long-standing customer who deserved to be treated with courtesy, I repeatedly felt as though I was being talked down to and made to feel as though my questions were foolish.
What was particularly surprising to me was that when I asked to speak directly with Chris, the agent, I was told that he was available by email only and that Sarah, as the office manager, handles everything. In more than 30 years with Allstate, I have never experienced that. Throughout our years with Allstate, I have been able to speak directly with our agents when I needed to discuss our policies or concerns. Being told that I could not speak with the agent directly was a very different experience from the customer service we had become accustomed to over the years.
I have been with Allstate for more than three decades, and I have never been treated by an Allstate representative the way I was treated in these interactions. That is what makes this especially disappointing.
Ultimately, our experiences with this office and, specifically, our interactions with Sarah led us to make the difficult decision to cancel our policies with Allstate after more than 30 years.
I want to be clear that this review is not a reflection of the many Allstate representatives we have worked with over the years. We had decades of positive experiences before dealing with this office. Unfortunately, one office and the way customers are treated can have a significant impact on whether someone chooses to remain with a company.
The reason for my call was to just get the effective dates of my policies so I could check the amounts of my refunds. It was really pretty simple and straightforward and yet it turned into an extremely bad experience.
