Our local Subway by Safeway at Highlands Ranch Parkway and Broadway has become one of our go-to spots, and not just because it is close to home. For a restaurant operating on the level of a Subway franchise, this location consistently does an excellent job. The awesome lady working the morning shift deserves recognition because she is always polite, professional, and genuinely tries to make our sandwiches exactly the way we want them. Good job, madam.
My wife and I travel quite a bit, and this Subway has become part of our pre-airport routine. We often order sandwiches here before heading to Denver International Airport because somehow there is not a Subway anywhere inside DIA. We have actually been approached by fellow travelers asking where we got our sandwiches. DIA, take note, open a Subway to accommodate hungry travelers.
Our experiences have been a combination of ordering in-store and ordering online, and both have been consistently positive. The online orders are usually accurate, well-prepared, and ready on time, which is important when you are trying to catch a flight.
Subway sandwiches are not always the easiest food to travel with, but with a little preparation you can make it work. We put the sandwiches in a large Ziplock bag and then place them in one of our backpacks. Pro tip: get the sauces like oil, vinegar, mustard, and mayo on the side because they tend to leak and can turn into a messy disaster during travel.
Overall, this is a very well-run Subway with friendly service and consistently good sandwiches. We appreciate the effort the staff puts in, especially during the morning shift, and this location has definitely earned our repeat business.
