I have attempted to speak to the front desk 3 times - first time I called I was put on hold and then hung up on, I have tried calling back twice/left VM and cannot get anyone to call me back. I just need someone to check Lost and Found.

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed at in Colorado

I was looking for a pet friendly hotel to stay at with my family and our dogs as we travel to Texas for a move and was recommended this location. I wasn’t sure how far we’d get so hadn’t booked anything in advance, which turned out to be no problem over the phone. I was told they had availability and accepted pets. We were exhausted and hungry/tired after 12 hours in the car and when I came into the hotel, the front desk person began helping me. Whatever happened between when I handed her my credit card and license and her typing into the computer completely changed her demeanor with me. She acted as if I was a criminal and stopped making eye contact with me, she told me that my card declined which turned out to be a lie and then wouldn’t accept any other cards from me, turning us away. I asked questions because it seemed like I was the problem and I hadn’t done anything. I’ve never had a billing or service issue with a hotel in the past, or any problem at all for that matter. I’ve always been a good guest and I’ve never even been to Colorado before! She refused to answer any of my questions and told me that if I had any questions to call the manager. I did and left a voicemail but I’ve still received no answers as to why this person discriminated against me. A family of four just looking for a safe place to sleep on a huge life changing event, and I was met with embarrassment and suspicion when I had to go back out to the car and tell my kids we couldn’t stay there. We ended up at a days inn, which actually turned out to be really welcoming for what it was. Thanks Best Western, for making a stressful part of our trip even worse. Won’t be back again after this experience.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Best Western Plus Castle Rock.
When I arrived around 10:15 pm, my room had clearly not been cleaned — used towels on the floor and in the tub, an opened cup, the toilet seat up, and a dented bed. I went to the front desk to request a new room, only to learn there were none available.
Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager (from the nearby Holiday Inn & Suites Castle Rock) falsely claimed the mess was caused by “my guest,” even naming my sister — which was completely untrue.
After eventually confirming the room was indeed dirty, the manager was dismissive and unempathetic. When I explained I was in town to be with my seriously ill sister, she told me I was “not the only one who has had someone die” and that she felt sorry for my sister but not for me.
She canceled my reservation and told me I was not welcome to stay at either hotel.
At nearly 11 pm, I had to find another hotel 15 minutes away and didn’t get to bed until 1 am.
This situation could have been handled easily and compassionately. There were clearly rooms left at the Holiday Inn Express next door. Instead, it was handled with blame, hostility, and a complete lack of professionalism.
