Honestly, FedEx and other companies need to seriously reconsider their policies for package pickups. I drove all the way out here between working my two jobs because I needed to pick up my wife’s package. I had her ID with me, but because the package was in her name and I am not her, I was not allowed to pick it up. I understand the need for security, but there should be reasonable alternatives. If the person picking up the package has the recipient’s permission and can provide a photo or other verification of the recipient’s ID, that should at least be considered. People are working two or even three jobs just to keep up with life. Not everyone has the flexibility to drive across town during business hours or make multiple trips because of rigid policies. I wasted a trip and valuable time simply because there was no reasonable accommodation for the situation. Companies need to remember that real people with real schedules are affected by these policies.

The new QR code system makes it easy to print your shipping label and attach to package and then drop it off in the drop box adjacent to it. Easy for business travel!
