Extremely Poor Service and Disrespectful Staff**
I visited this FedEx location this past Saturday morning, arriving right around 9:30 AM to ensure I was the very first person in line before the store opened. Unfortunately, my experience turned into one of the worst customer service encounters I have had in a very long time.
The Sequence of Events:**
Waiting in the Heat: I arrived first, and as I briefly stepped away to throw away some trash, a woman with a child arrived, followed closely by another blonde woman. Being polite, I allowed them to cut in front of me. Behind me, an older gentleman with a dolly of packages joined the queue. I ended up waiting in the hot sun for over 45 minutes.
* **Good Deeds Punished:** When the store finally opened, I chose to be kind and helpful. I held the door and assisted the older gentleman with lowering his heavy dolly down the stairs and over the the threshold. The second woman in line also kindly held the door. She then went straight to the printers. However, because we were simply being courteous, the older gentleman pushed past us to cut the line.
* **Disbelief and Attitude from Jason:** Upon entering, the first woman went to the initial counter, and I was assigned to **Jason**. From the start, Jason refused to acknowledge that I was next in line wanting to help the gentleman with the dolly and many packages. Despite me explaining clearly that I had been there the longest—starting as the first person to arrive, and ultimately standing third in line while the gentleman with the dolly was fourth—Jason refused to believe me and gave me a significant amount of attitude.
* **Unprofessional Interruption:** I had a simple, pre-labeled package that only required a quick scan so I could be on my way. Instead of processing it smoothly, Jason caught an attitude, slowly looked over the store and scannung for other customers, and began scanning it. Then, halfway through the transaction, he abandoned my transaction entirely as I was waiting for the receipt. He walked away from the counter to open the door and assist another incoming customer with five large boxes, leaving me standing there stranded.
**Final Thoughts:**
Despite being the absolute first person to arrive at this location on Saturday morning, I ended up being treated as the last priority, receiving the least amount of service, and facing outright disbelief and disrespect from the staff—specifically Jason.
I strongly encourage management to review their security cameras from Saturday morning to verify the timeline and how customers are being treated. Customer service in Aspen should be welcoming and fair, but this experience completely missed the mark. I expected much better.
