Unfortunately, I’m submitting this customer review based on my phone app order experience.
I did have coupons that I like to use in the app, they didn’t disappear along the way, and worked.
I had to ask my laptop how to navigate the Subway phone app: (1) The cart button was missing 99% of the time, and (2) Registering a gift card as a payment method would not work until I set it as default payment - and gosh, how long did it take me to figure out the default procedure?
Due to the time the app was taking me, I began to wonder if I’d be able to make the order and pick it up before the location’s closing time.
I’m not familiar enough with Subway to spend 10 minutes typing-in specifics for an online order. I typed “I like everything on it,” but didn’t get everything.
I did not check my order when picking it up, but should have. I ordered the bacon chicken ranch footlong, and there was no ranch. Also, the chicken wasn’t it’s usual chunky as when I’m watching an order made for me.
I think Subway’s “frequent-flying” customers probably know how to use the app and consistently get exactly what they want for their order. But I’m not a frequent flyer, and this experience wouldn’t encourage me to be a frequent flyer.
I think next time, I’ll take my phone into my Subway location and make the online order. Then when I see that they’re making my order, step-up to orchestrate what’s going on.
