  It is within walking of the beach. And the pier room I'd clean, but this is an old facility. Breakfast was good

  I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. Our stay at Best Western Ventura Pier was terrible. The AC unit and fan made a grinding noise all night, and the old refrigerator rattled nonstop. We couldn’t sleep, and the room felt neglected and poorly maintained. The front desk even said they would have moved us because the noise was that bad, but the hotel was fully booked. A staff member inspected the room, confirmed how awful the noise was, apologized, and gave us 5,000 points. He told us to contact customer service. Customer service later claimed the manager had no record of our issue and offered only 10,000 more points. With service like this, why would I want to stay here again? I asked to speak with the manager and left a message with Ana, who was extremely rude and dismissive. I have video of the entire incident, and still no call back. Combined with several other problems, this stay was completely unacceptable.

  Do not stay here. The customer service was terrible and the room was filthy. We stayed on the second floor and the entire room smelled like smoke. If possible, stay at the Best Western in Carpinteria instead. Even Motel 6 in Ventura is a better option.

  Very well run place. Much better than we expected. Hats off to the staff that keeps it so nice. We will stay here again next time we are in Ventura
