I went to this UPS Store today to return an Amazon package containing a yoga foam roller. The box was already taped when I arrived. The long hair male employee told me that the tape was not acceptable and that I needed to leave, retape the box, and come back. He also told me that otherwise I would have to pay $3 for tape.
I have returned packages many times using the same type of tape and have never had an issue, including at other UPS, USPS, and FedEx locations. I understand that stores may have certain packaging requirements, but the way this employee handled the situation was extremely rude and dismissive. He could have simply explained the requirement politely instead of making the interaction unnecessarily difficult.
I ended up leaving and going to another UPS Store to complete the exact same Amazon return. The other location accepted the package immediately and D.I.D. N.O.T H.A.V.E A.N.Y PROBLEM WHATSOEVER with the tape. So I wasted additional time, energy, and gas because of an issue that apparently was not a problem at another UPS location.
What makes this even more concerning is that I looked through the reviews for this location afterward and noticed that other customers have also mentioned having issues with employees regarding tape and being asked to pay for tape. At that point, I have to wonder whether this is actually an official store policy or something that this particular employee is choosing to enforce.
If customers are repeatedly being told that their packages are improperly taped and then being asked to pay $3 for tape, I think management should clearly explain whether this is an official policy, why it is necessary, and whether employees are specifically instructed to enforce it this way.
I am not complaining simply because I was asked to use different tape. The bigger issue is the unprofessional attitude, unnecessary inconvenience, and inconsistent treatment. The fact that another UPS Store accepted the exact same package without any issue makes the experience here even more frustrating.
I hope the owner/management reviews these complaints and addresses this with the employee and staff. Customers should be treated respectfully and professionally, and store policies should be applied consistently and transparently.

I had the absolute worst experience this evening doing an Amazon return at this location. The employee Luke that was working there was extremely unpleasant and should not be working in the customer service industry! I felt the owner should know that Luke is a very rude and unhelpful employee and I will never be doing business at this location again because of Luke and his terrible customer service! I dropped off an Amazon return this evening in its original package that it came in and the package was taped and sealed just the way I had received it from Amazon. Luke said that the tape that was used on the box was not an “acceptable tape” and that I needed to use a different tape in order for him to accept my return. He then rudely stated that it would be a $3 fee if I wanted him to put the tape on the package. I told him that I had been in that location before to do a return and had never been given an issue about the type of tape that was used on my package before. I told him that on the Amazon return instructions that it said to just return the item in its original box and to have the qr code to scan for the return which is what I did. Luke didn’t care what I had to say and just kept saying it’s a $3 fee for him to put a small piece of “acceptable tape” on my package when my package was already taped. I told him that I felt that I should not have to pay a fee for a piece of tape when my package was being returned in its original packaging. He then came around the counter and handed me my return and basically told me that he wouldn’t accept my return then which was so unprofessional. Like I said I had been in this location before to do returns and never had a bad experience like I did this evening with Luke. He is so unprofessional, rude and makes it blatantly obvious that he does not care about the customers coming in and their concerns. He definitely should not be working in customer service. If I were you, I would avoid going into this location to do any business. Amazon returns should be easy and this place makes it difficult to do returns and then rips you off by charging fees for unnecessary reasons. Avoid this location at all costs. I’m hoping the owner reads this so they will know that Luke is not a very good employee and he treats customers poorly! I will never go to this UPS again!
I would give 0 stars if I could. This place is the worst. Loses my packages all the time.
Even after me having to pay 3 dollars PER USPS package now for drop off, whoch is so weird. They even lose the packages that I paid for.
I booked my notary appointment through the official UPS online scheduling system and arranged my day accordingly, including taking time off work to ensure I arrived on time. Upon arriving at the store, I was informed by the front desk representative, Jocelyn, that the notary had “left for the day.” When I asked why the notary would leave despite my confirmed appointment, I was told that the store “does not handle the online scheduling.”
This explanation is both illogical and unacceptable, given that UPS promotes online scheduling as an official service.
The representative then suggested that I “look for another notary service,” demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer care. This response not only wasted my time and caused personal inconvenience, but it also reflects poorly on the UPS brand and its commitment to reliable service. HORRIBLE customer service! Worst UPS location! I will never go to this location better go to Foothill location!
