I stopped by recently just to drop off a package. It was scanned, and I got a printed receipt - that part was smooth.
However, the drop-off box was partially blocked by two advertising signs. I read them, and neither seemed related to my shipment. So I placed my package in the box like I usually do.
Right after that, I was told, “that box was blocked for a reason.” Now I’m honestly still wondering what that reason was. If the box isn’t supposed to be used, it should be clearly and properly blocked or have a clear sign explaining why.
I’m sure the store has the ability to print a clear notice or physically block access so customers don’t get confused next time.
Please let me know why it was blocked.

This FedEx did me a solid - they found my missed delivery of tissue cultures (for rare plants) and got it routed back to the store so they wouldn’t die 😅

I got a package from Wayfair that was sent through FedEx. The box was all beat up when I got the package, I came to return the package through FedEx with the same box that I received the item in and they said it doesn’t meet the standards of their shipping and they’ll need to put it in a new box and of course charge me for it.
