I ordered a Footlong Subway Club and asked to make it a combo with a drink and two cookies. The employee initially rang up the sandwich at $10.09 plus $3.89 for the combo. I pointed out that the sign in the window advertised the Subway Club at $4.99 for a 6-inch and +$3.00 to make it a footlong, which should have made the sandwich $7.99.
After multiple attempts to correct the charge, including assistance from another employee, I was first told the sandwich was $9.99. After I pointed out the posted sign again, they changed the sandwich price to $7.99, but then charged the drink and cookies separately at full price instead of honoring the combo pricing.
When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told no manager was present. The employees went to the back, made a phone call, and then told me my order was being canceled and refunded instead of correcting the pricing issue.
This was a disappointing experience. The posted promotion was not honored properly, the staff seemed unable to ring it up correctly, and the issue was handled by canceling my order rather than resolving it. This location needs better training, clearer pricing, and better customer service.
