  I had a good experience with the Livescan fingerprinting here. The UPS person gave me helpful instructions. The software was a bit fidgety and it didn’t register prints perfectly. When I called the tech support they told me exactly what the UPS person had said (they don’t all need to be green check marks) and they helped me finalise.

  Do not get your livescan done here. It is not on the California government website for approved public livescaning centers in San Francisco. Although they may house a private third party livescan service, it will not work for most cases you may need a livescan for. They only offer physical documents sent directly to the party paying and the UPS store will not aid you in this process. The safest bet is to find a location through the .gov website. Aside from that, the service is not great. When I called, the store representative did not know anything about the livescan service and kept asking me to "call the third party, we have nothing to do with them". Unfortunately, since this is an online company that largely services Florida, they did not have clear answers for me when I called the third party. When I came in store, I asked for assistance and they were not interested in helping me. Any question I had, they pointed at the pasted phone number in their live scan kiosk station. They refused to learn anything about the service that they house in their company. You should at least know the basics especially if people are coming in for this service regularly. It only offers physical documents to be mailed to you. If you live in California, they do not directly send your documents to the company. Because of this lack of knowledge of the third party service that they promote, the poor choice in third party service, and the apprehensiveness to help customers, I was unable to complete a vital documentation for an application. I am disappointed and will not return to UPS (this store or others).
