1/10 the rooms are so hot! We requested to move room, they gave us a new room but still hot they did not even inform us that all of the rooms are the same! I pitied my 1 yr old that need to endure the heat and can’t even sleep and they just told us that “we ran out of fan” just like that! This is ridiculous! We spent here and expected to have a great day to celebrate my husband’s birthday but it was ruined! I need to Use my small fan for my kids so they can sleep! We pay almost $200 for 1 night just to toast ourselves in that room!!!!! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE EXPERIENCE THIS!!!

This is our second stay at BW Yacht harbor. We had an issue with our reservations but it was readily handled by Paulina at the front desk. She gave us the room we had originally booked and we are so thankful for her patience to accommodate us. We will come back again to enjoy the eminities of this hotel; the wonderful hot breakfast, free parking, clean pool area, and friendly staff. The only issue was the room door card entry mechanism which was problematic.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel for a two-week period while on active duty military orders. Because the military enforces a strict Maximum Allowed Lodging Per Diem, any amount over my authorized limit comes directly out of my own pocket. At check-in I specifically requested the military discount. The front desk agent confirmed it was available, applied the discount, and printed a new total for the full 14-night stay: $2,316.60. I signed that rate agreement and kept a copy. The total fell within my per diem, so I proceeded with the stay. Had I been quoted a higher rate up front, I would have checked out immediately and gone elsewhere. The day before my scheduled departure, the front desk informed me that the initial agent had made an error, the discount was invalid, and my total was being retroactively increased. They claimed the first agent had also given me a tax exemption I never requested. While trying to resolve the discrepancy on my final day, a front desk agent assured me the only additional charge would be about $150 in taxes on top of the agreed $2,316 rate. Relying on that explicit assurance, I stayed the last night. At checkout the hotel reneged again. The final bill was $2,746. When I disputed the unauthorized overcharge, the agent openly admitted the staff had made a mistake, saying he was new and that “everybody makes mistakes.” The hotel has refused to honor the rate that I had signed and agreed upon. and now I am liable for the additional charges due to their mistakes. I have tried solving this with the front desk and reached out to the general manager , but have had no luck . This is a circus of an operation

Housekeeping steals your belongings!!! If you have to come, keep the privacy sign up your entire stay!!! We stayed here August 6–11 and had the privacy sign up for almost our entire stay. I brought two Jellycat stuffed animals that have sentimental value to me and are also fairly expensive for stuffed animals. On August 10, we removed the privacy sign so housekeeping could clean the room before we checked out. When we returned, one of the stuffed animals was missing. We searched the entire room, including under the bed and nightstand, but could not find it anywhere. We spoke with the front desk, but unfortunately, they were not helpful. We were asked if we wanted to call the police, which I did not feel was necessary over a stuffed animal. The staff member said he would “investigate” what happened, but we never heard anything back. He also told us to “give them the benefit of the doubt.” What is especially frustrating is that all of our belongings were accounted for throughout our stay. The only time we allowed housekeeping into the room was on the day the stuffed animal went missing. I understand that I cannot say for certain what happened, but the timing is extremely concerning, and I expected the hotel to take the situation more seriously. I would recommend keeping the privacy sign up and not allowing housekeeping into your room until you have checked out and taken all of your belongings with you. We still tipped housekeeping. Hope you enjoy the stuffed animal.

Let me preface this review with the fact that we got a great rate on a room for a quick 1 day stay. The pros: pretty fantastic safe location, great free breakfast, free parking and a super hot "hot tub", as well as a clean room. The cons: really old, outdated and to some degree fair in the property maintenance. The property feels like I was transported back to the late seventies/early eighties. The lobby and common areas inside look like a college dormitory, institutional like vibe, hard to explain but pretty depressing and warm in the temperature department considering it is currently the summer. The room follows this feeling, kind of depressing and not updated at all with asbestos ceilings. The HVAC system looked and sounded like it might break down at any moment, but like I said earlier, the cleanliness was great and the bathroom was decent with good hot water and pressure. As far as staff goes, pleasant but not extremely helpful or eager to please. All in all if you're not looking for a modern updated hotel/motel and location is more important, not a bad choice.
