I am a DoorDasher in this area, and I get a ton of orders from this Wingstop.
This is not a one-time issue. This behavior happens repeatedly, and it is consistent. This is why I am bringing it up here so management can see it clearly and take it seriously.
This gentleman — I do not know what problem he has with me or with every DoorDasher — but his behavior is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed by management immediately. From the moment I walk into the store, he acts like I do not exist. I always greet people when I enter a store, and even though he never responds, I still do it. However, when he does interact, he tries to be as rude as possible.
When he is at the counter, I always get my orders late. I can clearly see that the order is ready on the shelf, yet he still makes me wait on purpose. I even took a picture while I was standing there, showing that the order was ready on the shelf while he was ignoring me. Even when I ask politely for help, he ignores me. When he finally responds, it is in the most disrespectful and mean way possible. And when he gives the order, he throws it or slams it in front of you like you did something wrong. People do not even treat their enemies this way.
In this store, every other worker hands you the order properly. If there is a drink with the order, they tell you clearly what it is so you can fill it correctly — for example, “this customer needs Coke.” But when he hands you the order, he never says what the drink is. When I ask, he ignores me. One time I asked him, “Can you please tell me what the drink is?” and he replied, “You got eyes, read it.” That is completely unacceptable.
My problem is that I am an immigrant. I can speak English a little bit, but I cannot read well. And even for someone who reads well, those receipts are very difficult to understand. So this behavior makes the situation even worse for no reason.
Something that really bothers me is that I do not even know this gentleman. I have never said anything bad to him since day one. I have always been respectful. At first, I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but over time his behavior only got worse, and I continued to ignore it. I even avoided reporting it because I did not want him to get in trouble.
But now it has reached a point where I cannot stay silent anymore.
He consistently shows bad attitude, disrespectful behavior, and even seems to intentionally create problems that could affect us as DoorDash drivers. The only times he behaves properly is when a manager is present. When someone higher than him is around, his entire attitude changes, and suddenly he becomes respectful and even calls you “Sir.” That clearly shows this behavior is intentional.
I do not know if he has a problem with my race, my ethnicity, or something else, but this kind of treatment for no reason to anyone is beyond disrespectful.
Please be respectful toward immigrants. Life is already very difficult for us. We work two or three jobs just to survive and support our families. We are doing our best every single day, and we do not deserve to be treated like this. We respect everyone, and we do not have problems with anyone. We are human beings too.
This level of disrespect is too much, and it should not continue. I expect management to take this seriously, look into this situation, and take appropriate action.
