This is the worst UPS store in the area. The kiosk are useless. Do not go to the store.
There really is not much good to say about this UPS Store location in Grass Valley. The service has been consistently frustrating, and the staff often come across like they either do not know what they are doing or simply do not want to help.
Even simple things feel harder than they should. If you check in a package at the machine and try to hand it to an employee, they will often tell you to put it on the rack instead of just taking it from you. Sometimes the package does not even fit on the rack, but the attitude still seems to be that it is your problem, not theirs. There is very little customer service or willingness to make the process easier.
The new location is also a mess when it comes to parking. If you drive a larger vehicle, getting in and out of that tight lot is a hassle. There are times when you are stuck waiting in the street just for people to pull in or out. One time I parked in the back, and the UPS truck parked in front of my vehicle and blocked me in for nearly 20 minutes.
All around, this location is just a poor experience. The staff can be argumentative, the parking is terrible, and the whole process feels more stressful than it needs to be. Unfortunately, it seems like one of the only real UPS options in Grass Valley, but I would avoid this location if you can. Be prepared for poor service, bad parking, and a frustrating visit.

I went to return a package and was told that because it was in the manufacturer packaging they won't accept it even though it has a UPS return label on it. Ended up driving 15 minutes to the one in Roseville and they accepted the package. Will not be coming back to this store again even though it was closer for me.

I came in today for a notary, one page that was it. Store opened up at 8:30 am I came in right after. 8:40 am.(estimated) I come in for my job to get duplicate titles or lien releases notarized. This location is 6 minutes from my job. I came in today waited in line and when I got up to the representative she asked what I needed. I said I was there for a notary. She said well you can stand over there and I will help you after I help the customers behind you. I said ok. I stood there for 30 minutes waiting. As more and more people kept coming in. The rep (Ashley) said she would help me after the next 2 people. I said ok that's ok. She did not help me. I waited and the line kept growing and she assisted other people. The entire time she had an attitude with about anyone asking her for help. She was so rude to an elderly man. The next customer in the line told Ashley I think she has been waiting and was here before me (pointing towards me). Ashley then told the women your here for a service, she is here for a notary she can wait. I thought that was very rude as I am also here for a service. After 10 minutes I asked Ashley if she can help me so as I have to go back to work. She said well you can always come back another time or day. I have a line. I said I understand I said but I am here for a service like the people before me and after me and I have not been helped. She said well I would have to go back and fourth from you to the register. I said that was fine with me. She did not like that one bit as she still had an attitude about it. She said well you can come back at 10:30 when the next person get in. I politely said I cant I am here now. She said well I am not helping you until then. I said why are you so rude, you have had an attitude the moment I came in the door and with almost every customer asking you for help. She then looked at me and said well OK so now I am not going to do your notary and you can leave. I said ok, and left. I get people are short staffed and she was by herself but the attitude to have towards customers and paying customers at that was uncalled for. I ended up driving to the UPS location on Sunset Blvd. Waited in line and when I got to the register I was greeted by the rep there. She was so kind. Even though there was a line behind me as I also waited for the people ahead of me she instantly helped me. She pulled her book out filled it out took 5 minutes and I was on my way. I have been to this location prior and the staff was always kind. Ashley needs a better attitude. Ashley if you are reading this I hope your day gets better. You never know what someone is going through and a little kindness goes a long way. It takes more energy to be negative and mad then to be kind. You can either make someone's day or ruin someone's day. Even though you refused to help me even after patiently waiting for service you will not ruin my Monday.
