I am extremely disappointed with UPS service. I shipped a package from California to Texas, and the package successfully arrived in Round Rock, Texas. However, instead of delivering it, UPS marked the package as “damaged” and returned it all the way back to California.
What makes this even more frustrating is that UPS is refusing to refund the shipping cost, even though the package never reached its destination due to damage that occurred while in UPS custody. I paid a whopping $242.70. Customers pay for packages to be delivered safely and professionally, not sent back after traveling across the country.
The lack of accountability and customer service is very disappointing. If UPS damages a package during transit, customers should not be the ones forced to absorb the loss. I expected much better communication, care, and resolution from a company of this size.
I hope UPS improves how damaged packages and refund disputes are handled because this experience has been stressful and unfair.

We used to love doing business here. We got stationed at the base across the street and aren't able to receive mail where we live on base. This last renewal, the rates not only went up, but they started charging extra to get packages. You have no control over how many shipments a business is going to choose to divide your order into, so one purchase could easily put you over the limit, even if you paid an additional annual fee to be allowed to receive more packages each month. Now you're paying the increased annual rate, an extra package tier, PLUS surprise fees for going over because Target decided to ship your vitamins in 4 separate orders, your kids snacks in 2 and your household essentials in another 3, because none of it was available in store this month... Additionally, their hours are very difficult for people with jobs and kids with after school activities. This used to just be an unfortunate inconvenience, but now they've added fees for "storage" after 5 days. 5 days seems like something that wouldn't be an issue, but when they don't open until you already have to be at work/school, close before you get home, and have reduced hours on Saturday, you can be totally screwed if your kid has a game that day or you had to pick up an extra shift. So now you've gone from having to pay an annual fee (and commute) to simply receive your mail to having to pay that, plus the rate increase, plus the extra tier to receive packages, plus extra per package if a shipper puts you over the package limit, plus extra per package per day if there's a week you just couldn't get there before they closed. Our rates are doubling to a crippling amount and we're going to have to find a new mailbox place, which sucks because this place used to be worth using. The saddest part is that this isn't some corporate entity finding ways to take advantage of faceless consumers, this is a small family business that's choosing to take advantage of their fellow humans.
