  Really poor customer service and an unnecessarily frustrating experience. I return Amazon packages at UPS Stores at least once a week, usually at the downtown Oakland location, and this was my first time visiting this particular store. I brought in packages that needed to be taped closed and was told I had to pay $5 for tape. When I questioned it, the employee insisted that this is “how it’s always been” at UPS Stores. That simply has not been my experience. At the other UPS Store location I regularly use, I hand them the package and they close it for me. If this particular store has a different policy, that’s fine, but just say that. Arguing with a customer and acting as though they should have known about a store-specific practice is unnecessary and poor customer service. They also do essentially none of the basic assistance I’m accustomed to receiving at other UPS Stores, and their printing prices are exorbitant as well. I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit and that operating costs have increased, but there is a difference between charging a reasonable fee for a service and charging prices that feel excessive for something as basic as a small amount of tape or printing. The combination of the pricing, lack of assistance, and dismissive customer service made this location feel more interested in nickel-and-diming customers than actually providing good service. I’ll stick with the other UPS Store locations in Oakland.

  The store is clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the services are comprehensive and helpful for my small business needs.

  Find another UPS. The owner is a rude bossy unreasonable Indian man, who has not read the Amazon return instructions, bosses customers, and is sooo rude to his subordinates.

  I usually have a really hard time at these shipping places, but Leslie at this location is always super helpful and has a really positive disposition!!! 5-stars to her!!!!
