NO ACCOUNTABILITY. I spent $126 on a Friday to ship a small package overnight to Chicago, including an extra fee for Saturday delivery. I was offered a $12 option to have it delivered by Tuesday, but my family member needed this urgently, so I went ahead and paid the $126. I checked the delivery status in my app just after sending it so I could send a link to the recipient...and it already showed it was going to be delivered late, on Monday. So I called customer service immediately and they assured me the status was wrong, it's going to be delivered Saturday. Sure enough, the package was delivered 2 days late arriving on Monday.
So I went back to the store hoping to get 1) an explanation and 2) some sort of refund/compensation for delivering it 48 hours late. The store assistant manager said sorry can't help you. Didn't even look up the tracking number, just suggested it was weather issues. They then suggested I call customer service. Which I did, who then said sorry can't help you, go to the website and file a claim. Which I did, and it doesn't give you any option for filing a claim for a late delivery. I chose the option for package not delivered, but when I entered the tracking number, it just sends me to the order status (which shows the late delivery). i.e. Fedex has no intention of helping customers with late deliveries, in fact they've institutionalized avoiding the conversation.
