Dear Subway Customer Service,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a very disappointing experience I had at your store located at 5552 Thornton Ave, Fremont, CA, on March 19, 2026, at approximately 8:29 PM.
I ordered a footlong sandwich with herb and cheese bread, as clearly indicated on my receipt. However, when I arrived, the employee prepared my sandwich using Italian bread instead. When I politely pointed out the mistake and asked why my order was not followed, she responded that they did not have herb and cheese bread available. This was confusing, as it appeared otherwise, and no alternative or proper explanation was offered at the time of ordering.
Additionally, the sandwich itself was poorly prepared. The chicken filling was barely visible, and the overall quality of the food was unacceptable—it looked and tasted like it had been carelessly assembled. This did not meet the standards I have come to expect.
When I requested to cancel the order due to these issues, I was told that I could not do so. I then asked to speak with a manager, and the employee stated that she was the manager. Unfortunately, her behavior throughout the interaction was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked for her name so I could report the incident, she refused to provide it and walked to the back of the store, ignoring me despite my repeated attempts to get assistance.
When I expressed my intention to file a complaint, she dismissively responded, “Go, whatever you want to do,” which further demonstrated a lack of accountability and customer care.
I am particularly disappointed because I genuinely like Subway and often choose it over other fast-food options. It is because I value your brand that I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention. The level of service and food quality at this location does not reflect well on your company, and I believe it needs immediate attention.
I hope you will investigate this incident and take appropriate action to improve both customer service and food standards at this store. Customers should be treated with respect, and orders should be fulfilled accurately.
