If you go to this plaza, go somewhere else to eat and if you want Subway, go the extra mile away to the one on Venice and La Cienega.
I walked in expecting to get a good sandwich, sit down and enjoy my lunch but it didn't work out starting with the "tap" card reader not working at their register. I had just used my card at the gas station so I know it wasn't my card but the employees put the blame on me. I didn't have my physical card on me, just in the wallet on my phone(which I know is my bad), but why would they have the option to tap to pay if it doesn't work and why would you continuously blame me for it not working?
After trying multiple times I eventually ask if I could place the order through the app and pay that way and they said yes. I try for 10 minutes looking for the steak, egg and cheese sandwich but for some reason, the app is not showing this on their menu. One of the employees tells me to just ring up something so I place an order for the steak Philly. I then proceed to go up to the register and inform them I placed the order through the app. A different employee (possibly the manager) tells me I placed an order for a different sandwich so I explain the issue with her but she goes on saying "the Steak, egg and cheese is more expensive", "it's going to mess up their count", etc. I understand those issues but then why did one of your employees tell me to ring up another sandwich?
On top of that, the Steak Philly is MORE expensive than the steak egg and cheese. She made a big deal of the cost difference so I asked her what was the cost of the steak egg and cheese and she didn't know so I asked her to ring it up so we can see. After that, she let me go, without even verifying. I paid almost $20 for the combo through the app and I was okay with paying a bit more because it was my bad for forgetting my physical card but then to be belittled in front of everyone like that?!
Ridiculous. I should have taken it as a sign to leave when the tap to pay wasn't working.
