I am a regular customer at this location (1305 N H St. Ste A. Lompoc, CA 93436) and also maintain a mailbox here, so I visit fairly often. Because of this, I expect a consistent level of courtesy and professionalism during my visits.
During my most recent visit (03/31/2026), I came in to return a package and asked the employee (Cristina) at the counter whether the box was needed. She initially said no, but then spoke to me in a harsh and dismissive tone, instructing me to place the item on the scale and telling me I would need to take the box because there was no recycling available.
When I asked if the store could dispose of the box using one of the recycling bins on-site, she again responded in a sharp and unfriendly manner. Due to her tone, I asked if she was upset, and she replied dismissively rather than addressing the concern.
This is now the third time I have experienced similar behavior from the same employee. I did not report the previous incidents, but as a regular customer, this pattern is concerning and unacceptable.
To be clear, my concern is not about store policy regarding recycling, but about the repeated lack of professionalism and courtesy in customer interactions.
I attempted to resolve this directly with the store, but when I asked how to contact a manager or owner, I was told there was no way to do so. I was also told to “do whatever you want” when I stated I would escalate the issue. This response was concerning and is part of why I am now reaching out to corporate.
