If you do not READ the Google Maps reviews for this in-Walmart Subway BEFORE you go here (like I did not....), well - that's your (AND MY...) fault. My experience may have been a little ( 1 star) better than most. 1st: I came to this Subway for a late lunch (1st time traveling in California) with intent to shop this Walmart after a week camping in the mountains. When I approached the order counter, no one was in view, but the only guy working was sitting in the side room, talking to family or friend on his Bluetooth earbuds / cellphone in very heavy Indian dialect. He finally saw me, came out still speaking to someone on the phone then asking me in barely audible, broken English. I had to ask him to repeat everything, and all the while he was continuing his conversation with this person on his phone (via earbuds: was what he just said talking to me or the phone person?). We finally got my order clarified - BBQ / Honey Mustard chicken protein bowl with extra meat and all fixings, medium drink - with him still talking on the phone nonstop, squeezing me in between his phone pauses.... 2nd: While making the customer a last priority after his non-stop phone conversation is sorely rude, it's also poor service and bad business. That said - he did slap together a copious protein bowl per my directions. 3rd: The floor had not been swept in a long while, and I could not find a clean table, so I photographed the "cleanest" table that I then wiped clean before I sat down (see photo). All in all, though this young far east Indian guy was rudely self-involved (but - guess that's typical these days....), on my way out I waited until I caught his attention while he was still sitting and continuing his same phone conversation in the side room, and I waved and said, "Thank you.". Food was good, atmosphere and cleanliness not so much, but figure this is the best you can expect at this Subway.
