I have been coming to this location for printing and mailing needs for more than 2 years. I went to this ups a couple weeks ago and had a great experience. A woman tried to cut me in line and the manager advocated for me and made sure my spot in line was honored. Unnecessary but appreciated.
However, my trip this time was much different.
I had an attendant help me print some pages via email request. The attendant tried, but communication wasnt clear and the first print attempt wasnt what i asked for. No big deal, things happen, but i told him again what i wanted/how the print should look so we could try again and get it right. I also said id pay for the initial set of prints that came out incorrectly.
The original attendant flagged the manager for help. The manager came over, gathered enough info to understand that the first attempt had gone wrong. Instead of asking more questions, offering to take over the task, or checking in with me to see what my needs were, the manager tried to dismiss me: "Okay well, we'll catch you another time".
I told the manager I'd just wait so the issue could get resolved because i didnt have time to go to a different printing facility. Plus, ive printed the same template/file format at the la verne location a handful of times before, so I know it can/has been done.
His reply was "well then you'll be waiting awhile'. I waited another 20 min before a second attempt print was made. The amount of time i waited doesnt bother me. The attitude that i deserve to wait or give up vs. helping me get the prints i needed was disappointing.
I dont fault the original attendant who had been helping me. And in the end, the store didnt make me pay for the original set of error prints, which I appreciate. I will shop at ups stores still, there just wont be a "next time" at the La Verne store for me.
