I was just denied service at this location for having my service dog with me. She was vested and fully labeled. The staff member was completely dismissive and kept requesting that I show her an ID card or paper work for my service dog. Those cards are scams and legitimate handlers know this. I tried to explain federal and state law to her but she still denied me. She refused to connect me with her manager or anyone who could make a decision about this. Luckily a different employee did take my order and I was able to get my lunch. I am a neighborhood local who has ordered at this location three different times in the past month and at least two of those were with my service dog in the exact same vest/ gear set up. This location really needs to better train their employees on how to interact with service dog handlers or suspected fakes. You did not ask me the two legal questions that are permitted. My dog was well groomed and under complete control in a down stay unless standing to task for counterbalance. This is so sad because every other time I’ve visited this location I have had impeccable service with friendly employees who make a better than average subway sandwich. What a disappointment.
