  Took my parents to this store, so they can purchase a few items. My father was browsing the wallet section. As he was deciding on a color we noticed a female employee with black hair watching us. We didn’t think much of it until we see her locking the door next to where we were standing. She started being persistent on wanting to hold our items and asking if we needed any help. She continued to watch us and it made us extremely uncomfortable. We left the area and went to purchase our items. As we were walking out with our purchases. I called her out on this act. Whoever is in charge of this store you NEED to educate your employees to not racially profile people.

  PLEASE BEWARE I was looking forward to buying my mother some nice gifts for Mother’s Day and she wanted to see Michael Kors products as she already had some products from them she liked. Once we entered the purse section, Natalie was kind in helping us find a suitable wallet to go with a purse that my mother had liked. We also saw a trainer that matched the purse and wallet. When we asked for a 8.5, an employee said they only had 9.5. He disappeared for a bit and when he returned he now said there was only size 10. When my mother asked why he had said there was a 9.5, he began to argue. He was unprofessional and his argumentative attitude really demonstrated the poor customer service skills to expect from this store. We decided to go to checkout and purchase what we had. During checkout, the cashier was unable to find a price tag and instead of asking a colleague for assistance, she asked me to go find another wallet with a price tag. Confused, I didn’t know what to say, but in order to just speed up the transaction I obliged, already having an understanding these workers need customer service training. I returned having discovered that all the wallets were without tags, so she begins to fumble around on the register, visibly unsure of what she is doing but adamant she needs a tag that she cannot find. Finally, she asks a supervisor for help (why wasn’t this your first response?). There was a promotion of spend $200 get 20% off and we were a few dollars away from the total. We ask for a dust cover to complete the balance and to qualify for the discount. The cashier does not include the discount and when we ask why, she asks a supervisor to speak to us, explaining that the manufacturer of the dust covers is different and so although the cover is a product they sell in the store, it does not qualify to be added to the total. After this underhanded sales tactic, we had enough and decided to just leave the store. This entire experience felt terrible (Natalie’s help aside). I really hope you choose to shop at some of the other nice stores at Citadel and take your business elsewhere to avoid this experience. It’s unfortunate when an awful experience like this takes away from what should have been a special moment.
