  Came here for a work trip and Mario beyond exceeded my expectations!! He was conversational, welcoming, and such an amazing guy!

  This hotel is definitely the most bizarre Best Western I’ve stayed in years. The word ‘Plus’ in the name probably hides the unconventional experiences that await you here for just $250 per night: the whole building resembles a maze with many entrances, the room numbers are a brutal puzzle, so finding the right entrance and then the room is a challenge — just as hard as finding the reception, which is mostly empty anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. In the evenings, the hallways smell like a food truck, and it’s hard to identify the source. Speaking of smells, the room really smelled like mothballs or something similar, and it didn’t let up even after two days. If you get a room facing the highway from the second floor up, you’d better go straight to sleep in your car. Be careful, breakfast is not a $15 buffet as it might seem at first glance from the accommodation description, but is served à la carte with prices starting at $15. On the positive side, the beds are of the Best Western standard, so even though our noses and ears were blocked, we were able to sleep quite well. If you like adventure, you’re in the right place.”

  This was my first Best Western Plus I’ve stayed in and I was impressed. The rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean. Only 10 minute walk to the downtown area. Very cute courtyard. Sarah at the front desk was really nice and helpful!

  Solo traveler spending my first time in Carpinteria! The hotel staff is amazingly helpful. On this leg of my trip,LA , Carpinteria and SF .this was the best hotel I stayed in. The room was clean , quiet and spacious with balcony . It is a 15 minute walk to the beach, town and the trails. It’s a 7 minute walk from the Amtrack station that will also take you to Santa Barbra. You can also take an Uber to Santa Barbara. Honestly , if you are in a budget or have kids stay here. No Gluten free food at the restaurant but the town has plenty of GF restaurants.

  Great hotel, but online booking fees and front desk service need fixing As returning multi-year guests, we love this location, but management needs to know about a glaring issue. The official website explicitly offers and line items a $25 "Early Check-In" fee upon arrival. Yet, front desk staff insist early check-in doesn't exist, giving guests the runaround and making them wait until standard 3 PM check-in after driving hours with a full car. When trying to clarify this billing discrepancy with Mario at the front desk, his customer service was terrible he was dismissive and annoyed rather than apologetic for the confusion. To top it off, we waited an hour for pool towels he promised to send, only getting them when my husband went inside soaking wet to check on them. Santino on morning duty was fantastic and the stay overall was nice, but the front desk attitude and online fee disconnect need immediate attention.
