I was baptized and converted on November 5, 2022, and this ward was the first ward I came to know and attend. Although it is not within my boundaries, it will always be special to me as part of my journey coming to know Jesus Christ more deeply.
A scripture that has meant a great deal to me is 2 Nephi 26:23–28 — that Christ invites all to come unto Him and turns no one away, regardless of status, race, or background. I have felt that universal invitation here.
Through my journey of faith and the way of the cross, I have come to understand God’s love and purpose more clearly. It has changed how I see myself, my purpose, and my ability to move forward and make stronger commitments in my life. I have learned what it means to stop fighting and resisting, and instead allow healing and guidance through Christ.
I attend several churches and try to meet Jesus wherever He is found. I was first baptized as a Christian when I was young, Sophomore in high school, and later converted on November 5, 2022. Throughout my life, many Latter-day Saints have influenced me for good, and I am deeply grateful for that.
To whoever is reading this and seeking to know Christ — you are not alone on that journey, and you can continue here!
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
