I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at this FedEx location. I went there around 5:30 PM because I had completed my passport application on my phone and received a code instructing me to go to a FedEx location to finalize the process. I needed assistance taking the required photo, printing the application, and shipping it. I also paid a significant amount of extra money for expedited service because I have an emergency and this passport is extremely time-sensitive.
When I arrived, there were two employees at the counter. I explained the situation and showed them the information I had received from FedEx. Instead of helping me or even making an effort to figure out what I needed to do, they repeatedly told me, “We don’t know.” They appeared completely uninterested in assisting me, and I got the strong impression that they were more concerned about leaving at the end of their shifts than helping a customer.
What made this especially upsetting was that I clearly explained that I was dealing with an emergency and had already paid a lot of money for expedited service. I expected them to make a reasonable effort to help, contact someone who could assist, or at least explain what my options were. Instead, I was simply refused assistance.
The lack of professionalism and customer service was unacceptable. If employees are not trained to handle a service that FedEx directs customers to its stores for, they should at least know who to contact for help. Telling a customer “we don’t know” and refusing to make any effort is not acceptable customer service. they deserve to get fired
There was also no manager available to address the situation. FedEx needs to take this seriously, provide proper training, and make sure responsible management is available at the store. Customers should not be treated as an inconvenience, especially when they are dealing with an emergency and have paid a significant amount of money for expedited service. also my time cannot be wasted by unprofessional people
I strongly hope FedEx the corporate reviews what happened at this location and addresses the lack of professionalism displayed by these employees. Being young is not the issue the issue is their attitude, lack of responsibility, and unwillingness to help a customer who was genuinely in need. (just to be clear it was withing their shift, i didn't ask to stay longer).
I will be sending a formal complaint to FedEx corporate As well.
