“Input: Spinach Substitution → Output: ‘Not Allowed’ —
“Apparently Teresa was having a bad morning—understaffed, overworked, or both—because the service showed it. I ordered two of the new chicken protein pockets, asked to have the chicken warmed (which was done), and then requested a simple swap of lettuce to spinach. That’s when I was told they’re sold ‘as is.’
That’s a strange position for Subway—especially when the entire setup is built around visible, fresh ingredients meant to be adjusted per order. I was even pointed to the sign to justify it, yet nowhere does it state ‘no substitutions’ or ‘as-is only.’
Then comes the contradiction: ‘sometimes we warm the chicken.’ So modifications are possible—just selectively applied? That’s not a policy, that’s inconsistency.
When the product is literally assembled in front of the customer with interchangeable ingredients, refusing a basic substitution while allowing others isn’t about process—it’s a breakdown in customer service and standards.”

I had such a pleasant experience at Subway thanks to Angela. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and such a kind spirit. Her energy was welcoming and genuine, and you can truly tell she cares about her customers.
Angela provided excellent customer service she was patient, attentive, and made sure everything was just right with my order. It’s not every day you come across someone who serves with both professionalism and heart.
Thank you, Angela, for making my visit such a positive one. Your kindness and beautiful smile truly made my day!
