Great place to stay in Sierra Vista! Excellent view of Huachuca Mountains. The rooms were clean and very cool inside, greatly appreciated on a hot summer day. Staff was friendly and very accommodating! Over all gem on the west end of town!
My husband and I are platinum rewards members with Best Western. I would say this is our favorite location. We have, however, stopped staying here because the prices have become so inflated. This makes me sad because this was our favorite hotel

We took a short trip out of town for a couple of days and stayed at the Best Western Plus Sun Canyon, a hotel that truly made us feel at home. The rooms were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged to accommodate our family of five comfortably. The entire experience was wonderful—each staff member at the front desk was kind and welcoming, making us feel appreciated from the moment we arrived until we left. Their breakfast, served between 6am and 9am, was perfect for busy families like ours—it was both tasty and varied, with many delicious options. The breakfast lady was especially friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was well-prepared, tidy, and inviting. There was ample seating so we could relax and enjoy the view of the pool or sit outside if we preferred. My kids loved the auto pancake maker and the 24-hour hot chocolate and coffee stations, which added a special touch to our stay. We also appreciated the beautiful pool and Jacuzzi, along with the 24-hour fitness center, which let us unwind whenever we wanted. Overall, it was a peaceful, welcoming place that made our short getaway memorable. We’re hopeful to visit again someday.
Thank you for reading my review. I highly recommend trying this business, as their services are truly exceptional. Don't forget to leave a ❤️ if you agree!
It is a Best Western Plus. Which means it is quality. Clean rooms with a good firm bed. Complimentary breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, pastries, toast, yogurt, Bengals, fruit (toaster was broken when we were there but I am sure they will replace it soon). Small pool and hot tub.
Pet friendly with a nice little green for your dog to do their business.
The pool is the only thing a kid to do. So definitely, be aware of this for bringing kids. But in my opinion, that is all a kid needs for a bit of unwinding. But then again, my opinion on hotels is just somewhere to sleep and decompress but the adventure is really who you are with and the surrounding attractions outside of the hotel.
If you are in town to visit family or have business in Sierra Vista, it is a solid place to go. Note that it is a military town as there is a major military base nearby. Cell signals are a challenge in the city in general so do not expect a lot of 5G strong bars. Definitely use the hotel wifi.
I would actually recommend it for also visiting some great locations in the area. There are a couple of decent caverns in the area that I plan to visit, Tombstone nearby and I want to do a mine tour if Bisbee. I also found something called the Biosphere 2 nearby that I want to explore. However, I would not fault you for wanting to stay in Tuscon if that is your vibe.
Fun fact, this area is also only a part of the US because of the Gadsden Purchase. The last major purchase from mainland US.
Staying in Sierra Vista definitely feels like a nice chill vibe on the Westend and there is a good local brewery next door, Tombstone. A gas station and circle K is also nearby. The gas price was average for the area so feel free to price shop around to save a few cents but it was convenient.
It is a hotel chain that I will always frequent. I have been to this chain in Edmunds, WA and Anaheim, CA before and they do not disappoint at all.
