It is a Best Western Plus. Which means it is quality. Clean rooms with a good firm bed. Complimentary breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, pastries, toast, yogurt, Bengals, fruit (toaster was broken when we were there but I am sure they will replace it soon). Small pool and hot tub.
Pet friendly with a nice little green for your dog to do their business.
The pool is the only thing a kid to do. So definitely, be aware of this for bringing kids. But in my opinion, that is all a kid needs for a bit of unwinding. But then again, my opinion on hotels is just somewhere to sleep and decompress but the adventure is really who you are with and the surrounding attractions outside of the hotel.
If you are in town to visit family or have business in Sierra Vista, it is a solid place to go. Note that it is a military town as there is a major military base nearby. Cell signals are a challenge in the city in general so do not expect a lot of 5G strong bars. Definitely use the hotel wifi.
I would actually recommend it for also visiting some great locations in the area. There are a couple of decent caverns in the area that I plan to visit, Tombstone nearby and I want to do a mine tour if Bisbee. I also found something called the Biosphere 2 nearby that I want to explore. However, I would not fault you for wanting to stay in Tuscon if that is your vibe.
Fun fact, this area is also only a part of the US because of the Gadsden Purchase. The last major purchase from mainland US.
Staying in Sierra Vista definitely feels like a nice chill vibe on the Westend and there is a good local brewery next door, Tombstone. A gas station and circle K is also nearby. The gas price was average for the area so feel free to price shop around to save a few cents but it was convenient.
It is a hotel chain that I will always frequent. I have been to this chain in Edmunds, WA and Anaheim, CA before and they do not disappoint at all.
