If you visit this location, be incredibly specific about how you want your sandwich handled. Apparently, if you request your chicken heated up but don't want the actual bread toasted, you enter a legal gray zone.
When I asked for exactly that, the sandwich artist (or rather, "corporate risk-management specialist" who works the sandwich counter) hit me with this exact phrase: "I have to let you know, if you don't heat up the chicken, it is frozen and if you get sick you can't sue us."
...Excuse me?
First of all, she delivered it so smoothly it felt like she recites it in her sleep. Second, of course I wanted the chicken heated up! I just didn’t want the bread turned into a crouton. Once I clearly communicated that I was not, in fact, trying to eat a frozen chicken popsicle, she immediately straightened up her attitude, likely realizing how bizarre that whole interaction just sounded.
The sandwich was fine, but the side order of a liability waiver was a bit much for 4:00 PM on a Tuesday.
