The staff are nice, but charging $3 to email a label is absolute robbery.
I understand the $0.75 for printing, but $3 for email is an absolute joke.

Been here 3 times as it is near to home and every time there is a major barrier to conducting a transaction. The most recent was my 78 year old mother trying to return two parcels to Amazon and initially being told that UPS can’t send two parcels with one label. She asked if she could put both parcels into one larger box and use the label and was told this couldn’t be done. Then we pointed to the wall of boxes and I asked if one of those roughly 300 boxes they have on display to sell could maybe fit both of her current boxes. We were then told “that would be really expensive” and my mom asked how much. They couldn’t tell us at first, but then started to problem solve a great idea: putting the two current parcels into the smallest box that would fit them and using the label for that one box and executing a successful return. The same idea they just said they couldn’t do. This idea worked -THANK GOODNESS we were there to help them navigate the process. Then we got a detailed explanation as to why these billion dollar businesses can’t solve the two parcel/one label problem, and how UPS “has no wifi so you have to go next door and log on to Domino’s wifi to look at your emails and see if you can find labels to print or access your emails”. I informed them that UPS in fact has 3 wifi networks, including one called UPS Guest - that are all secured with a password, and this felt a lot like the self inflicted “can’t put two boxes into one box problem” we had just solved together. I suggested maybe their company could choose to make the UPS Guest WiFi network available to customers while in store, and if this seemed somehow insurmountably difficult that instead of us going next door to Dominos to ask to use their wifi, they could go next door to Dominos and ask how to set up a wifi network for their customers.
They seem nice on the surface and friendly but there is a condescending tone each time and a lack of engaging customers to help them solve problems. We finally gave it back to them this time. If a parcel shipping store can’t ship parcels and can’t sell boxes to ship parcels, what the point? I think they are a laundering operation.
In the end the entire transaction ended up being exactly what we asked to do in the first 10 seconds, but 15 minutes later. The cost was about 8 bucks, so very reasonable. Why the catastrophizing? The only explanations are they don’t want to work, or they enjoy flexing on people. Of note; the same middle aged brown haired woman each of these incidents.
Never going back.
