I had my auto insurance with Eldon Kizer for the past couple of years, and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing.
After receiving a significant premium increase at renewal, I shopped for alternative coverage and secured a new policy that saves me $500 every six months. I promptly notified Eldon via email of my intent to cancel my policy. It took several days to receive a response, and when I did, I was asked to complete a cancellation form for his records.
The form requested unnecessary information, including details about my new insurance provider and policy—information that is not required to process a cancellation. The process felt unnecessarily complicated and unprofessional, especially since all relevant details about my existing policy had already been provided.
Despite my concerns, I completed and returned the form (excluding the irrelevant information). Eldon acknowledged receipt of the form, yet failed to actually cancel the policy.
Nearly a month later, I received a notice from Allstate indicating returned check fees and late payment charges—because the policy was never canceled.
This lack of follow-through and communication is unacceptable. Fortunately, I never had to file a claim during my time with him, but based on this experience, I have serious concerns about the level of service that would have been provided.
I cannot recommend working with Eldon. The customer service was poor, communication was inconsistent, and the agreed-upon action was not completed.
