⭐️ 1-Star — BEWARE OF ROGELIO (MANAGER)
Absolutely terrible experience with Rogelio. We came in to purchase phones, not to be pressured into opening an account we never asked for.
My mom is the main account owner and had already completed the credit check for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. When we came into the store, Rogelio told us we still needed to scan a QR code to “pass the information” over, so we followed his instructions and completed the process again.
We ultimately purchased the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but we were told it would be delivered the next day. Since we had already said we did NOT want the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max (we knew it wasn’t available anyway), and my dad urgently needed a phone that same day for his business, that’s when Rogelio offered us the iPhone 15 for $100 as a temporary solution. At that point, after the credit check was done and we were already moving forward with the purchase, we agreed because it sounded like a perfect short-term deal—my dad could use it immediately, and then the next day he would get his brand new phone.
We were told there would be no additional charge or new line, and that it would simply be a temporary swap using one of our existing numbers. We specifically asked multiple times whether this would remain under the same account/line because we absolutely did NOT want another line. He assured us it would.
Then, out of nowhere, the total became $202+. My mom even questioned him and said, essentially, “I thought you said it was $100.” Instead of clearly explaining what had been added to the total, he gave a vague explanation and never properly broke down why the price had more than doubled.
We completed the purchase and left. About an hour later, we realized my dad’s original phone was actually working, so we went back because we wanted to return the iPhone 15. Rogelio had already left, and we were told we couldn’t process the return without him ( even though the receipt clearly said we had seven days to return the item).
We then contacted customer service while trying to figure everything out, and that’s when we discovered something extremely concerning: the iPhone 15 had been opened under MY name, with a completely new line and autopay, instead of being kept under my mom’s existing account.
We had specifically asked about this multiple times and were told it would stay under the same line/account. We never agreed to opening a new line under my name.
We were also told that because of the new line, we would only receive around $100 back instead of the $202+ we paid, which made the entire situation even more frustrating.
I also find it very concerning that my mom had already completed the credit check, yet Rogelio had her repeat the process in-store. In hindsight, it made us question whether that was actually necessary for our purchase or whether there was some benefit to the store from having us redo it.
The entire interaction felt like Rogelio was pushing us toward additional charges and products, while making things sound much cheaper than they ultimately were. He also asked a lot of personal questions about our brand-new truck, which made the interaction feel even more uncomfortable and sales-driven.
And when we later tried to resolve the situation, Rogelio’s response was to “just sell it on Facebook Marketplace.” That is an incredibly unprofessional response when we’re trying to correct an account and line that we never agreed to open.
I can’t say what his personal motivation was, but based on what happened, it felt like we were being taken advantage of for additional money.
We came in expecting a straightforward phone purchase and ended up with a new line under my name that we never authorized, unexpected charges, and a huge headache trying to figure out what had actually been done to our account.
BE VERY CAREFUL at this location. Ask questions, get the exact price in writing, and verify whose name and account every phone and line is being opened under before you leave. Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend dealing with Rogelio or this store.
