I arrived to pick up my order well after the expected time that was placed online. I proceeded to the counter and was not acknowledged, which was okay as I observed the staff member preparing an order by himself without gloves, a hairnet, or an apron, with his lower abdomen exposed as his Wingstop branded shirt was not appropriately sized for his overlapping belly. When the employee came to the bagging area, he did not look up or attempt to acknowledge me, so I simply stated, "I have a pickup order for [name stated]." He then abruptly stated, "Hold on, I'm by myself." I asked, "Was it ready?" He said, "No." I replied, "That's not gonna work for me, I'm on my way to work." He then told me to "get on out of here then." I then stated I needed a refund. He initially ignored me as I repeated myself several times before he stated, "You will get one." I asked when and how, and he stated, "3-5 business days." I then asked, "What's your name?" He stated, "Jay." I said, "Y'all "messed up" my order last week." He wanted to argue that he wasn't there last week. All of this was fine as I understood the frustration, but the blatant lack of respect and professionalism are unacceptable. As my motto is "principles before problems." Also, the prior week I had a similar experience with this same employee over the phone when my order was messed up. Just rude and unprofessional. I'm sure that "Jay" holds a leadership position, which definitely warrants a demotion or termination from this company, as the consistency in being unable to run the store efficiently and the lack of leadership skills that are consistently displayed with customers and staff are to be examined. The other staff members have been courteous during my previous visits to this location.
