I visited this Subway around 9:30 p.m., about 30 minutes before closing, and the customer service was unacceptable. As soon as I walked in, the first employee greeted me with, “You got a pickup order?” When I said no, she immediately asked, “Well, what you trying to get?” in a very rude and disrespectful tone.
I asked for a turkey sandwich and was told they didn’t have wheat bread. A second employee then came over with a much friendlier attitude, so I simply asked her if they had any wheat bread. Before she could even answer, the first employee snapped, “I just told you we ain’t got no wheat bread,” in a very rude and disrespectful manner, as if I had done something wrong by asking another employee. There was nothing wrong with asking a different employee, especially since I could clearly see wheat bread available.
Instead of trying to help resolve the situation, the first employee escalated it by saying, “We ain’t gonna serve you.” I was shocked by how quickly the interaction turned hostile over a simple question. Her behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary.
The second employee was polite, welcoming, and professional, but the first employee’s rude attitude completely ruined the experience. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of what time they come in during business hours. I hope management addresses this employee’s behavior because no customer should be treated this way.
Because of the employee’s rude attitude and smart remarks, my child and I were refused service and left without being served. We came in simply to order food, but instead we were met with disrespect and unprofessional behavior. No customer should be denied service over a simple question or because an employee chose to be rude instead of helping. This experience was completely unacceptable, and I hope management takes it seriously.
