Very disappointing experience at Saint Laurant Premium Outlet Toronto.
My family and I visited the store during very bad weather, with heavy rain and wind. We were waiting outside in line, along with my mother-in-law who has difficulty standing for long periods of time.
We noticed that when several customers left the store, only some people in line were allowed to enter, even though there was clearly enough capacity for our group of three. This happened more than once. Other customers were admitted while we continued to be kept waiting without any clear explanation.
When my wife politely asked about entering, the employee at the door stopped her and said they needed to check with a manager. The situation was confusing, embarrassing, and felt extremely disrespectful. What made it worse was the dismissive attitude we received when we tried to discuss the issue with the staff and manager.
As loyal customers who have previously spent significant amounts shopping with Saint Laurant , we were shocked by the way we were treated. The entire experience left us feeling unwelcome and unfairly singled out.
Customer service should be based on respect, transparency, and consistency. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect those values.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service. This was one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had.
We visited the outlet on a Sunday, and despite the store not being busy, the female security guard at the entrance with long hair made us wait outside for nearly 20 minutes before allowing us to enter. During that time, several customers left the store, yet the three of us who were waiting were still not permitted to go inside.
What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. When I asked why we were being kept waiting, my concern was dismissed, and the response felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of receiving a reasonable explanation, we felt that our complaint was not taken seriously.
Customer service begins at the front door, and unfortunately, this experience set a very negative tone. A long wait is one thing, but being treated without courtesy or respect is another. The girl who is standing at the front door with long hair always treats people very poorly and with a racist attitude.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to share it. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and provides better training on how visitors should be treated. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.
Very bad and route customer service
I visited the Yves Saint Laurent outlet at Toronto Premium Outlets today intending to purchase a birthday gift for my girlfriend and was prepared to spend approximately $2,000.
Upon entering, I was informed there would be a wait because the store provides a high-touch luxury experience, with a dedicated associate assigned to assist each customer individually. I appreciated that explanation and was looking forward to receiving guidance, as I am not particularly knowledgeable about handbags and was relying on the associate's expertise.
The first item shown to me was approximately $2,700. I explained that my budget was closer to $1,200-$2,000 including tax and asked if there were options within that range.
Shortly afterward, the associate became engaged in conversations with another customer and a manager, leaving me standing alone without assistance. After several minutes, I felt awkward and overlooked, especially after being told that I would receive dedicated service.
I ultimately left without making a purchase.
My disappointment is not that the first bag exceeded my budget. Rather, it was the disconnect between the luxury service that was promised and the experience that was delivered. A customer prepared to make a significant purchase should feel valued regardless of whether their budget is $2,000 or $20,000.
I was honestly scared to visit this store, given the reviews here and this being my first luxury handbag purchase… but the sales associate who assisted me- Muwaish (apologies if am spelling it incorrectly)- was sooo kind and considerate and professional … she was amazing at showing me pieces , she was also quick . 2 years ago; I had been to this store to check out their belt, but back then there was a different SA who was snobbish which made me not to get anything there… but this time, muwaish was so professional, that I couldn’t say no to the offer she was giving me with the coffee mug too. Am so happy with my first luxury handbag purchase😍this colour and the structure is so classy.
