I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received.
On April 6, I brought in a handbag that I had purchased because the gold hardware had already faded and turned silver after only two uses. For a luxury bag worth around $5,000, this should never happen.
I took the bag to the Yorkdale boutique, and I was told the repair would take approximately six weeks. It has now been over three months. Today is July 5, and after repeatedly following up, I was told that my bag has only recently arrived in Paris and that there is nothing they can do.
This is completely unacceptable. I have plans this weekend and specifically needed my bag. Had I been told from the beginning that the repair would take several months instead of six weeks, I would have kept my bag and brought it in later. I was never given accurate information.
What made the experience even worse was the customer service. I called three separate times asking for a manager to contact me. Each time I was promised that the manager would call me back, but no one ever did. After waiting for hours, I had to call again myself. Eventually, I spoke to the manager, who simply repeated that my bag was in Paris and that nothing could be done.
The lack of communication, the misleading timeline, and the rude way I was treated over the phone are unacceptable—especially for a luxury brand. This is not the level of service anyone should expect when purchasing a $5,000 handbag.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend shopping here.
