Our last stay was not good from very beginning, our room was 45 minutes late before we could go in. 4:43 were handed key.usually James excellent employee gave us a little bag with two bottles of water and a chocolate bar after waiting all that time for our room was told my Mercedes we did not qualify for that but received it without question prior because of our frequent stays Went to our room no tv called down to desk Mercedes said it would be fixed momentarily did not happen then she proceeded to tell us all of Owen sound had no cable it was a rogers problem. I proceeded to call three places one other hotel my sister in law and also kelso villa a few minutes from hotel all had cable and was working fine. Mercedes told me she didn’t have cable at her house. I googled Rogers no power outage . It was a long evening no tv. My husband went to get our coffee in the morning and they had no oat milk said it would be arriving shortly after 8. I think it was the way the situation was handled very poorly. We are frequent guests at this hotel and bring our grandsons at times too. I did expect a quick email from Jason Hemstock apologizing that morning for our recent problems but again did not happen. I did get a message from Jason after he received our complaint from head office which he really didn’t address any of my concerns, it was a very bad experience. Two other women were in the lobby very frustrated too and not happy.
Location is spectacular, on the water, next to hockey rink, walking distance to restaurants, metro, shopper's. Service is great, staff very helpful whether addressing a room issue or finding your favourite kind of tea. Easy to bring your pets, pet rooms are on ground floor, easy access to grass etc. Nice walking paths.
Lovely front desk staff but I didn’t have the most comfortable stay in my room. I found a number of bugs (live and dead) throughout my two night stay. I was sure to keep my bags and things off the floor so I wouldn’t bring any hitchhikers home. Hard to relax when I found so many bugs! Hotel is super dated as well. Couldn’t help but wonder how old and dirty the carpet was in the room. Both air conditioners were falling off the wall.

A terrible experience. The hotel was undergoing Renovations and had boxes and clutter everywhere. Even worse I had booked a room in advance, but when I arrived they told me there was no rooms available and I had to then leave and find somewhere else. And it took 2 weeks for the charge to come off of my credit card even though I never stayed in the room . Call the hotel several times to speak with the manager and he never called me back . I'll definitely never book a room there ever again.
Went with a friend and my Mom and brother tagged along. We were accommodated with a change of rooms so we would be on the same floor. Check-in was seamless and the staff James and Yvonne were friendly, patient, and accommodating.
Both had a partial view of the water. The suite where my Mom and brother stayed was spacious, clean, well maintained and beautiful. It had a separate sitting room and two TVs, one in the sitting room and one in bedroom. The room where my friend and I stayed was big, clean, well maintained with an electric fireplace!
There is a restaurant that is attached to the hotel on the first floor. The portions are big and the prices were expected.
Our experience was great. I would recommend the hotel. In fact, I would return in the summer as the temperature outside the hotel was cool on the Victoria Day weekend due to the proximity of the water.
